Camp Slutty Microphone

FAQ & Details

Welcome, stranger! Ready to be slutty and/or musical with us? Below is a never-final FAQ that will hopefully help.

Who Is In Your Camp & What Do You Do?

Artists, musicians, dancers, scientists and entrepreneurs in the 25–40 age range, mostly from the SF Bay area.

We are very outgoing and physically active. Our typical activities are physical adventures of all kinds, dance, partner dance, climbing, engineering challenges, art car riding, deep playa explorations, and occasional workshops.

Most of the core crew is alcohol-free, with some exceptions. We prefer more conscious activities and other ways to stay awake. If alcohol is your primary way to relax/have fun we are chill about it, but this is not the right camp for you.

What Are The Dates?

We intend to be on Playa Aug. 28 – Sept. 6, 2026.

How Big Is Your Camp?

Approximately 30 people.

Camp Fees

RoleFee
Project leads, early birds, returning members$450
New members$650
OMG squad (new members in August)$800

Camp fee is separate from the Burning Man ticket price, which you have to purchase separately. The ticket prices vary depending on when and from whom you buy it.

Camp Fee is Too High!?

You're getting a shelter, food, water, bike delivery, fireplace, and entertainment at the most epic party on Earth for just ~$100 / night. For comparison, the cost of one night in some shitty hotel in SF with no food and entertainment starts at $200.

KEEP IN MIND: Both the Burning Man project itself and our camp in particular are non-profit transformational experiences, organized by groups of friends and volunteers. It is everyone's responsibility to ensure that everyone else has a great experience. Nobody guarantees anything. Your level of fun depends predominantly on your ability to let go of expectations.

NO REFUNDS

A refund will only be possible if you find someone else who fits the acceptance criteria and takes your spot in the camp.
